1. 100% Client-Side Classroom Computation
GradingPad (https://gradingpad.com) is built for teachers, professors, and students. Every percentage calculation, batch roster entry, custom grading scale threshold, and student group list executes entirely within your web browser's local memory. We never transmit, collect, or store student names, test scores, or roster files on our servers, and student score inputs are never shared with third-party analytics or advertising partners.
2. Browser LocalStorage Preferences
When you customize a grading scale (such as switching between a 10-point and strict 7-point scale) or toggle the Warm Lamp color scheme, that display preference is saved locally on your own device via standard browser localStorage. Clearing your browser site data removes those preferences immediately.
3. Advertising & Google AdSense Cookie Disclosure
To keep GradingPad's core classroom calculators free without mandatory subscriptions or account walls, we may display non-intrusive advertisements served by Google AdSense and certified third-party advertising partners:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites on the Internet.
- Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables Google and its partners to serve relevant ads to users based on their visit to GradingPad and/or other sites across the web.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices or Network Advertising Initiative Opt-Out.
- Advertisements are strictly excluded from printed grading sheets (
@media print) so classroom handouts remain completely clean.
4. Anonymous Performance & UX Telemetry
We use aggregated web analytics (such as Microsoft Clarity and Cloudflare Web Analytics) to monitor page load speed, Core Web Vitals, and broken layouts. Visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, Switzerland, and California may manage consent preferences via standard browser privacy controls and Google's certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) where applicable.
5. Contact Information
Questions regarding classroom privacy, ad disclosures, or school network whitelisting may be sent to privacy@gradingpad.com.
